What is CLOUDPORT?

amagi CLOUDPORT is a cloud-managed automation and playout platform that supports the requirements of the most sophisticated and engaging linear channels. The platform also offers the cost-effective distribution of channels over IP, fiber, and satellite to broadcast facilities and IP-enabled video platforms and devices.

The platform is built as components that can be brought up rapidly on Cloud infrastructures, offering flexible configurations at the optimized cost of implementation and deployment across different use cases.

As a group of orchestrated services, amagi CLOUDPORT supports comprehensive media workflows for content ingest, scheduling, playlist creation, graphics insertion, playout, monitoring, and delivery of streams to multiple destinations, including live and VOD applications in one unified experience.

CLOUDPORT ingests content and live sources in multiple formats, such as MXF, MOV, and MP4. It accepts BXF and other well-known playlist schedules programmatically and delivers streams for reliable delivery with RTP, RTP-FEC, Zixi, SRT, and HLS for downstream distribution.

The amagi LIVE software option to CLOUDPORT has extensive live capabilities for news/sports channel origination, with support for multiple inputs, frame-accurate breaks, graphics insertion, regionalized feeds, live2VOD, deferred live, and breaking news schedule. The platform’s sophisticated graphics engine enables HTML5 and animated graphics with dynamic inputs for rendering in real-time for sports/news/weather channel needs.
